Janet Ruiz PT, DPT.

With over fifteen years experience in the fitness industry and a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Janet has dedicated herself to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle through building strength, body awareness, and injury prevention.  Through a combination of manual therapy, Pilates, and functional training Janet has developed a program that  is not only geared toward rehabilitative treatment, but includes injury prevention, enhanced performance, and will provide patients with a better quality of life.  She founded Back in Motion Physical Therapy, which is now a mobile clinic providing outpatient services to patients in their homes with emphasis on maximizing whole-body health and mindfulness.

Janet uses an eclectic treatment protocol, tailored to meet each individual's needs.  Janet has always enjoyed helping people achieve their goals.  She is a certified and classically trained Pilates instructor, and continues to instruct, as well as assist in the training of those wishing to become instructors.  Pilates has unique qualities which have been shown to work wonders for rehabilitating the body and is a great compliment to traditional physical therapy. Regardless of your athletic background, age, or fitness level, she will help you set and achieve your goals.  Her own goal will be to keep you accountable to yourself and your rehabilitative process, and will provide support as you begin this journey.
